So from the top left, those are two lesbians who are together(Lindsay, an artist and Melanie, a lawyer) then ted, a gay man (all guys here are) an accountant turned porn site operator (had drug problems) then Debbie, a straight woman who owns a diner and is Michael's mother, Michael, the bottom left, is played by the very well known Hal Sparks and is the narrator of the show and basically main character and is a retail salesman, but later creates a comic with Justin which is very successful. Emmett is very flamboyant, wearing bright colors and furs. he had a small relationship with ted but then went back to just friends and he go's through many jobs, including a star on Ted's site. then there is Justin and Brian, an on again off again couple, always competing. Brian is a successful advertiser when they meet, whereas Justin is still in high school, unbeknownst to Brian at first. Justin is like the little baby boy to all the friends, being taken care of, and Brian is like the star, the one that urges all the others to go for it. Brian and Justin are the couple that, sexually at least, we all wish Luke and Noah could be like. VERY sexual, all the time. I will put some videos at the bottom and you can see. I wish we could see this kind of stuff, maybe not as much since it daytime television, but the open and couple- like behaviour. Brian wouldn't even say they were a couple and they acted more like a couple than Luke and Noah! that tells ya a little something P&G!! =D
This is Craig (like Noah, straight friend turned gay, nonsupporting family, though they fortunately get over it, jealous even though he said he was straight, kissed JP and then regretted it and apologized with a second kiss, then tried to deny it again and go back to female ex) and John Paul (like Luke, hard to come out to family, friends treated him weird and he turned a jealous and denying friend around to love him) Though Craig still had problems being public and they had to end it when Craig went away to college, to both men's heartbreak. 
Brian and Justin, another hot gay couple, this from Queer as Folk (on logo at 11pm, or go to logoonline.com and Showtime- where it originally aired- once in a while or on youtube) Brian is the brunette and is a lady, or shall I say man-killer and is12 years older(17 and 29) than Justin, the blonde, who is very young and naive but knows he loves Brian even though Brian is very stubborn and wont admit that he wants Justin just as much. This show gets very steamy and is very adult. look up queer as folk on youtube and you will see. 
Brian- Promiscuous, doesn't settle, loud and hot and all over. He is successful and can seem very unloving, mean-natured, and uncaring. He brings Justin out of his shell and sheds much of his virginal(mainly because he took his virginity, without knowing that at the time as they had just met) and shy/innocent qualities and turns him into more of a man, though not always the best way, all the while becoming a man himself and learning to love and accept. Played by the gorgeous Gale Harold
Justin- sweet young boy turned man. He tries everything to get Brian, known for his rule of one night flings & no more, to love him, eventually leading to an engagement near the end. He melted Brian's semi ice old heart with his beauty and heart and warmth (and that infamous sunshine smile), which none had ever done before. Played by the beautiful Randy Harrison.
