After arriving in town, Noah drove straight to his hotel so that they could pack up his few belongings. He was most anxious to get out of that hotel room and back out to the cottage. They walked, hand in hand, into the hotel and told the attendant on duty that Noah would be checking out; then went to his room and started putting his things and clothing into a couple of old suitcases that Noah had. Once loaded in the pickup and after paying his tab, they decided to go shopping for items for their party. They drove down to the Party Favor store and started looking around: purchasing hats, noisemakers, banners and streamers. They then walked over to the Deli and placed orders for two big meat platters, a cheese platter and a veggie tray with three different types of dip with them. They also got some chips & soda with that. They asked to have it delivered on New Year's Eve after lunch. After paying for their order, they started going out to the truck, where they ran into a couple of Noah's buddies from Oakdale U - Greg and Ben - who wanted to know what they were doing. Noah explained they were having a New Year's Eve party and they were stocking up on trinkets.Greg asked if they had time to go get a burger with them. So they headed for the bedroom, stripped out of their clothing and went into the bathroom and as was commonplace for them, Noah turned on the water, checked for the temperature and then invited Luke to step in. They stood talking with Greg and Ben and the four of them agreed this was the type of New Year's celebration to have. Soon Luke and Noah joined others on the dance floor followed by Ben and Greg. No one needed a chauffeur to get home tonight, except for Lucinda who never traveled without one. The bells started tolling the midnight hour and everyone kissed their partners with Emma giving Lucinda a peck on the cheek. Brad, Parker, JJ and Sage enjoyed watching the shenanigans going on under the mistletoe. Another pass through at the table had everyone filling their plates and then settled down to enjoy the spread. About one o'clock, the party started breaking up and a half hour later, the only two remaining were Greg and Ben. They asked if they could help clean up and the four of them conversed quietly between them as the cleaned up. When everything was put away and the trash taken out, Greg and Ben thanked Luke and Noah, gave them each a hug, kissed them and left. Luke and Noah watched from the doorway as they went out to their car. Ben said "Oh, by the way, I love your snowmen!" Luke and Noah kept looking until they were down to the end of the drive, then shut and locked the door. They turned off the music and lights, hugged each other, then they headed for bed. They were sufficiently tired and after cuddling close together, they drifted off to sleep knowing they had put on one helluva good party.
