Luke and Aaron drove Noah to the studio for his first day.

“There we go”

“I’ll be fine, I promise”

“I’m scared shitless”

Noah laughed and looked at Aaron

“Daddy, did you say a bad word?”

Noah looked at Luke and lifted his eyebrows

“Is just grown ups stuff”

“Are you scared?”

“Of course not, sunshine”

“I’ll call very often and I’ll take it easy”

“You better. Katie and Brad are going to be watching you. If you work too much or you look tired they’ll call me and I’ll come get you”

Noah smiled

“I thought you might do something like that”

“I love you, I wouldn’t do it if it weren’t because not having you around scares me”

“I know, honey, I love you too”

They kissed and Luke held Noah’s chin with his fingers

“Please… for me, ok? Be careful”

“I will”

They kissed again

“Say goodbye to Dad, Aaron”

“Bye, Dad, good luck”

Noah smiled and looked at Aaron

“Good luck to you too at school, honey”

He kissed Aaron’s cheek

“Call Daddy if you are tired”

Noah looked at Luke smiling and Luke smiled back

“I will, I promise”

“Okay”

“Okay”

He left and went into the building. Luke watched him dissapear and tried to stop himself from shouting at Noah to go back. The three of them could live locked at home. You can have everything delivered, you don’t really need to get out of your house nowadays. Shit… he hated being so scared every time Noah was out of his sight

“Daddy?”

“Mmh?”

“Are we going to school now?”

“Yes… yes, sunshine, let’s go to school…”

They started their way to Aaron’s school and Luke felt his uneasyness grow, the further he was from Noah the harder it was to breathe and not to worry. He dropped Aaron at school and went back to the studio. He stopped the car and looked at the building. He wished he could go inside and follow Noah all day.

He had to do something. He’ll go mad if he didn’t. He couldn’t wait for something else to happen. What if the colonel sent another friend to kill Noah? He would end up succeding if they didn’t stop him… What could he do?

He heard his mobile ringing and picked it up

“Luke Snyder”

“Hey, Snyder”

Luke smiled

“How are you?”

“I’m ok, really. I thought I’ll call you before you started getting worried”

“I started getting worried the moment you left the car”

“I’m sorry, I wish I could make this easier for you”

“Keep calling me”

“I will, and Brad and Katie haven’t left me alone for a second”

“Good, you are a Snyder, we take care of our own”

“I am fine, believe me”

“Okay… call me again, soon”

“I will, love you”

“Love you”

He hung up the phone and looked at the studio. What would Noah say if he knew that he was here watching the building? He would probably tell him not to worry. He could say that as many times as he wanted but it didn’t change Luke’s fears.

His mobile phone rang again and he picked it up

“Luke Snyder”

“Hello, sweetheart”

“Hi, grandma”

“Do you think you could come over to my office?”

“Sure, why? what’s wrong?”

“Nothing, dear, just some paperwork for the foundation”

“Okay, I’ll be there in 15 minutes”

“I’ll be waiting for you”

They hung up the phone and Luke looked at the studio again. He sighed and started the car.

He had created a foundation a few years ago. Damien sent him a large amount of money right after Aaron’s death and he decided to start a foundation with his name. The Aaron Snyder foundation. Lucinda took care of everything and he just had to check some paperwork from time to time.

Good thing Lucinda knew all this people. Whatever you may need, she’ll always find the answer… Luke smiled. Yes, she’ll have an answer for his problems this time too…
