Noah was feeling nervous. Am I doing the right thing…? He went through the first door and knocked on the second one… Damn, this is home, please, let them welcome me in their lives once more. He smiled when he saw Holden at the other side of the screen door.

“Hello, Mr. Snyder”

“Noah Mayer…”

“Not really, can we talk?”

“Sure…”

He opened the door for him and Noah was finally at home. An hour later he was walking towards a house. It was small and nice. There were 2 bikes in the garden, and he could see balls and all kind of toys around… he smiled. He was going to love being a dad, if they would accept him…

He knocked on the door and Luke opened it and saw Noah. He smiled and Noah felt it warm his heart

“Hi”

“You came”

“I want to be part of your family if you still want me…”

“Oh, Noah, don’t you know it already? I never stopped wanting you…”

They hugged and kissed, Luke laughed and Noah smiled

“We have to talk before you accept me in your life, it’s not that easy”

“You are here”

“Yes, I am here…”

They sat on the sofa holding hands. Luke couldn’t stop touching him. He was here, with him, and he wanted them. He wanted to be a family… He kissed him again on the lips.

“Luke… listen to me”

“I don’t want to talk, Noah, I want to hold you, and kiss you and”

“We’ll have plenty of time for that”

“Will we?”

“If you listen to what I have to say”

“Okay, I’m listening”

Noah smiled and kissed Luke, who smiled

“I thought you wanted to talk”

“I know… is just that you are so beautiful, and I love you so much…”

“I love you too… damn, you are really here, aren’t you…?”

“Yes… “

They kissed again

“Marry me”

Luke laughed and looked at Noah

“What?”

Noah smiled

“I said “Marry me”. Would you do it? Would you let me be part of your family?”

“Yes, of course”

“Wait… I don’t have a job anymore, and the lease on my apartment finished and…”

“Do you really think that I care about that shit? Of course I’ll marry you, Noah Mayer”

“Well, actually… It’s Noah Snyder”

Luke laughed

“What?”

“My father was always telling me that I would never be enough of a man to be a Mayer and I told him that I wouldn’t be a Mayer anymore… I talked to your dad before coming here and he told me that I was good enough to be a Snyder… so I am Noah Snyder”

Luke held him tight

“Of course you are good enough to be a Snyder, you are the best man I have ever known… and I can’t believe you are here…”

“I am, and I am not going anywhere…”

Luke kissed him

“Like I would let you go anywhere now that you are here… we are getting married, Noah Snyder”

Noah smiled; he loved his new name, and the fact that Holden didn’t doubt it for a second… He’d held Noah and told him that he was proud of him, that he was a good man… He knew he would never be a replacement for Aaron, and Holden would never have his son back, but he was going to be the best son ever, because he had a family now, he was one of the Snyder men…
