“I can’t understand anything if you don’t explain it to me. What the hell happened?”
“It’s a long story and I really don’t feel like telling anyone about it”
“It must have been bad”
“I can’t stay here, Jim, I just can’t… I have to go, ok?”
“I’ll take you home”
“No, really, you don’t have to”
“But”
“I need some air… I’ll call you, ok?”
“You sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure. Thanks”
Luke left the coffee shop and started walking. He still couldn’t believe he’d just seen Noah. He tried to remember the last time he’d seen him. It was all still foggy, he never knew exactly what happened that day, never quite got all his memory back from that day

“I can’t stay here, Jim, I just can’t… I have to go, ok?”
“I’ll take you home”
“No, really, you don’t have to”

“I need some air… I’ll call you, ok?”
“You sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure. Thanks”
Luke left the coffee shop and started walking. He still couldn’t believe he’d just seen Noah. He tried to remember the last time he’d seen him. It was all still foggy, he never knew exactly what happened that day, never quite got all his memory back from that day
“There’s just something I had to do first”
“Yeah? What?”
“I thought you’d never ask”
He wished he could stop the memories from haunting him, but they kept coming back, swallowing him.
Noah in NY… Why the hell had he smiled when he realized it was him? Luke saw the smile in his eyes, how could him? What kind of sick joke was it?
He arrived at his apartment and picked up the phone… he didn’t know if he should call her or not but he wanted to.
“I thought you’d never ask”
He wished he could stop the memories from haunting him, but they kept coming back, swallowing him.
Noah in NY… Why the hell had he smiled when he realized it was him? Luke saw the smile in his eyes, how could him? What kind of sick joke was it?
He arrived at his apartment and picked up the phone… he didn’t know if he should call her or not but he wanted to.
“Noah wants you to live together?”
“Don’t laugh, okay?”
His heart breaking in a million pieces…
“I’m not laughing…”
“He was very very romantic”
He punched some numbers and waited
“Hello”
“I’ve seen him”
“Hey, Luke, who?”
“Him… Noah”
“What? Where?”
“Here in NY. I bumped into him…”
“Are you okay?”
“No… not really, I feel stupid”
“You are not stupid, have you said anything to him?”
“No, he pretended not to know me”
“Shit, I’m sorry”
“I’m still shaking, Maddie…”
“How did he look?”
“Better than ever…”
He thought about Noah now, very short hair, broad shoulders, still beautiful blue eyes… He laughed
“He’s hotter than he used to be”
He heard her laughing
“Damn, I didn’t know that was possible”
They both laughed
“Madds”
“I’m here, hun”
“I wanted to hit him…”
“You should have done it. Do you think he lives there?”
“I don’t know… he was with a girl”
“A girlfriend, you mean?”
“She was holding his hand, and she called him honey…”
“Honey? You should have hit her, then”
Luke laughed
“You’re right”
“Maybe he’s hiding and denying who he is to himself again”
“You think?”
“I don’t know”
“I would have killed him, and he smiled, can’t you believe that?”
“He smiled? You mean when he saw you?”
“Yes”
“Why would he smile?”
“How am I supposed to know?”
“You really should’ve punch him right on his face”
Luke laughed
“I knew you’d make me feel better”
“I wish I could be there with you, Luke”
“Me too”
“Will you be ok?”
“I guess, there’s nothing I can do, right?”
“Right”
“I’ll call you soon, Mads”
“You better”
“Bye”
“Bye”
Luke hang up the phone. He knew she would understand. She suffered enough because of him too.
“I’m not lying to Maddie”
“Do you really believe that?”
“Yes, I love her, I’m attracted to her, we make love…”
“Well, thank you so much for sharing. Does Maddie know that she is in a don’t ask, don’t tell relationship?
“I’m not laughing…”
“He was very very romantic”
