- Come on Noah! I’m so tired!
- I know but Mary will be there any minute with Grace.
- Maybe I can dressed and pretend that I’m here to take the breakfast with you and your daughter.
- Look, it’s the last time okay. I swear.
- You’ve already told this to me and it’s been 3 months.
- Already?
- Yeah already. 3 months and I can be alone with you one night per weeks. I want to see you more.
- You see me everyday for lunch.

- Luke! I don’t wanna fight with you.

Noah wanted to follow Luke, but he couldn’t leave. It was Saturday and he had promised to Grace that they would visit her mother. More she grew more it was hard. More she asked how was her mother. Noah had to tell her their stories. That hurt him, but he knew that it was inevitable. One day he will have to tell her that he’s not her real father. That he had been selfish. Now he had a new problem: Luke. He didn’t really know how to say to a 5-year-old girl that his father is with another man.
Grace liked Luke, but it was as an older brother for her. She had known her father with women not with men.
The bell extirpated him of his thoughts.

- Hey sweetie. Hello Mary.
- Hi. Are you ok?
- Yeah why?
- You look like hell.
- Just a bit tired. Grace, can you go to your room for a minute, daddy wants to talk to Mary.
- Okay.

Mary entered and went to the kitchen with Noah.

- So you’re tired? Because of this mysterious woman…
- Erm yeah and it’s not …
- Not what? What are you hiding? She’s married?

Noah began laughing nervously. He managed to speak about it with Mary but he didn’t manage to say it to Luke.

The cemetery. Again. Noah wanted to leave every time he saw the entry. Grace rushed to the door. She looked forward to telling to her mother that she was going to go on a journey with her school.
When they arrived near the grave, Noah left Grace advanced by herself. He wanted that she has some moments alone with her mother.
It was a weird tradition to speak to a stone. But that relieved sometimes. Noah remembered Grace’s funeral. He hadn’t thought of it anymore for a long time. And he hadn’t missed it.

- What are you doing here?
- I want to see her one last time.
- Like you cared. I want you to go now.
- Is my Gracie here?
- How do you know her name? And she’s not your Gracie!
- She’s my daughter.
- If you don’t go right now, I’m gonna have to kick you.
- You? I’m scared now.

Noah had jumped above him and had struck him again and again, until Bradley faints. He never had felt so much fury in him. He wanted to see him dead. To see him suffering as he suffered.

- Daddy!

Grace fired at Noah's pants.

- Yes sweetie.
- You can come to say hello to mom.
- First I want to talk to you.
- Yes but we can sit next to mom.

Grace had taken his hand. She sat. He did not want to sit but he made it for her.

- Do you know what love means Grace?
- Yes. Like you and Jen.
- Yeah something like that. But this time it’s different. Erm … You like Luke right?
- Yes.
- Daddy loves Luke too.
- Yeah Luke is your friend.
- No daddy loves Luke like he loved Jen.
- But Luke is not a girl.
- No but sometimes it happens that two men fall in love.

Noah had seen that Grace didn’t understand all the things that he had just explained to her but at least she was happy to know that Luke was going to live with them.
Noah hoped that Luke agrees to live with them. It was fast but he felt that he wanted it, that he needed it. Luke gave him the strength to get up in the morning, to take even more care of Grace. Now he had to forgive him for having been such a bastard …

- Hi. I’m Noah, Luke’s friend.
- Oh I’m Elena. Come in. Luke! Someone’s here for you. You can go to the lounge.

Noah heard a door, steps in the corridor then he sees Luke entered the room.

- What are you doing here?
- I’m sorry. I’ve been a real jerk. I’ve talked to Grace.
- Really? What did you say to her?
- That I was in love with you.
- In love?
- Yes ‘cause I love you Luke. I really do. I want you to live with me.
- What?
- I need you.
- But it’s been only three months. We can’t live together.
- Do you love me?
- Of course I love you. I already told you a lot of time.
- So do you wanna live with me or not?
