Noah stared out the window wondering how and why someone would take the letter from his Dad.He was sure he had put that letter deep down in his backpack.There was no way that it could of fallen out on the way to the farm.

Luke walked back into the kitchen.He looked at Noah leaning over the sink just staring from their window.He was still worried about him.He knew how his Noah could get over talking about Winston and he wished he could make it all go away.

Coming up behind Noah, Luke put his arms around him pulling him back into his own body.Noah jumped at the movement, thinking he was in the kitchen alone still.

"Noah, what is wrong?" Luke asked very much concerned over him."Luke, I know that I put that letter back in my backpack at Java.There isn't any way that it could have fell out.And now I feel like there is someone watching me.I can't explain it but I have felt it ever since I got back to the farm."

Luke looked at Noah and smiled slighly as he pulled his boyfriend near."It is ok Noah.You are just a little jumpy from your dad writing you that letter.There isn't anyone watching you.Look, as he pointed out the window.No one there."

Luke and Noah embraced tightly.Noah loved Luke so much for always making him feel safe.But there was an uneasy feeling that he just couldn't shake.

Luke could feel that Noah was still tense, as he held him in his arms. He let go of his hug. "You know from the looks of things, we might have walked in on something with my folks. What do you say we take a walk around the pond."

Noah gave Luke a half smile. He always made him feel better, no matter what his mood was, and their walks were always a chance for them to connect without interruptions. "Sounds good."

Luke took Noah's hand and led him out the door. "I've got some good news for you."

Noah held Luke's hand tight. "What's that?"

Luke squeezed, Noah's hand as they walked. "My mom said that she's staying at the farm a little longer."

Noah shrugged. "I don't see why that is good news. She was staying here until she felt better. She must be still upset about Dusty."

Luke stopped and faced Noah. "Well, yeah at first, but now she is staying because her and my dad are trying to work things out. I wouldn't be surprised if they decide not to get divorced."

Noah smiled. "That is good news."

Luke put his arms around Noah's waist. "That's not the best news. If they get back together, she won't need the extra room and you won't have to sleep in the parlor anymore."

Noah nodded as he finally understood what Luke was saying. "Oh I see."

Luke kissed Noah gently on the lips. "...and you can be upstairs right across the hall from me."

Noah pulled Luke closer and kissed him again. "I'm not sure if that's good or bad. It'll be pretty hard being that close to you and not being able to be with you."

Luke smiled. "Did you really say the word hard."

As night fell over Snyder farm, Luke’s suspicions were confirmed. Lily and Holden had decided to stay in the same room for the night. Noah was told he could move upstairs, to the room Lily was occupying previously, if he wanted. Emma had given both Luke and Noah lectures on “proper behavior.” The boys understood perfectly well what that “proper behavior” was to be.

That didn’t stop Luke, though.

Tip toeing his way across the hall at half past midnight, when everyone else had fallen asleep, Luke made his way towards Noah’s room. He turned the knob and slipped inside, quietly shutting the door behind him.

As he stood there, just a few inches from Noah’s bed, he took in his boyfriends form, highlighted by the moonlight streaming in from the window just a few feet away. He smiled fondly to himself. Sliding inside the covers, he scooped up towards Noah’s body.

The small disturbance caused Noah to open his eyes and stare into Lukes own.

“What are you doing here?” He asked sleepily.

“I came to cuddle with my boyfriend,” Luke said and did just that.

“Emma wouldn’t like this,” Noah said. Regardless, he put one of his arms around Luke’s waist and pulled him even closer.

“You don’t seem to mind,” Luke said with a cheeky grin.

“Now why would I…” Hearing a sound, he jerked his head upwards to look past Lukes face. “What the hell was that?”

“What...was what?”

“That noise. I swear I heard something.”

"At the window, someone's out there." Noah said anxiously.

Both boys jumped out of bed and ran to the window, "Someone's climbing down the trellis!"

They're both running down the hall now and Holden is at his door asking, "What's going on boys?"

"Someone was outside of Noah's window." says Luke.

"I'll call Jack, don't do anything foolish." Holden replied.

As both boys made it downstairs and out the door, someone dressed in all black was running down the lane into the dark. Noah started to run after, "Noah, don't go!" as Luke grabbed his boyfriend, "Let's go back inside and let Jack deal with this."

Inside Noah was shaking and Luke hugged him tighter than he ever had even with his Dad in the room. He just wanted to give Noah a sense of security.

"I'm starting to feel really uneasy; I think someone's stalking me." Noah said his voice shaking.

We'll tell Jack about the letter and how it disappeared, hopefully he can figure something out, just don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you." Luke reassured him.

"Why don't you guys go sit in the parlor, I'll wait for Jack to get here and let you know," Holden said.

In the parlor as they sat on the sofa, Noah started to calm down. Luke pulled Noah close and wrapped his arms around him.

"Luke, I don't know how I'd get through all this without you and your family. I really feel something weird is ..... what is that outside the window?!"

Noah wasn't able to sleep at all the rest of the night. He just laid in bed facing the window, making sure he would see whoever was watching him if they came back.

Noah had been asleep for about 45 minutes, when Luke came in and shook him awake again.

"Noah....Noah, Jack's here and needs to talk to you," Luke said softly.

Noah stirred and suddenly sat up in the bed. "Did they find out who was here last night?!"

Luke held up his hands to calm his boyfriend down. "Yes, they have. But Jack has something he needs to talk to you about."

Looking at Luke with a combination of confusion and exhaustion, Noah said, "Ok, I'll be downstairs in a minute."

Luke went into the kitchen, where Lily, Holden, and Jack were and told them that Noah would be in shortly. 30 minutes later, Noah came in and explained, "Sorry, dozed back off for a few minutes. What can I help you with Det. Snyder?"

"Noah, " Jack started, "have you gotten any unexpected letters or phone calls from anyone in the last few days?"

Noah instantly thought about the letter from his father that was taken the day before. "No phone calls, but yes, I got a letter from my father. Why?"

"We found a young woman walking down the road, away from the farm, last night dressed all in black. She was carrying a letter addressed to you, from Winston Mayer."

Noah looked like he was going to burst if Jack didn't get to the point soon.

"Ok, so this random girl shows us and takes my letter from my father because....."

"Noah, she's not a random girl. We asked her why she took the letter and she said that she was looking for the person who sent it because he was her father. Noah, the young lady who took your letter is claiming to be your sister."

Noah stood there in shock. ''My sister? That's impossible.''

''Well, apparently not. She told us that Winston Mayer was in Iraq during his time in the army. She sais that he fell in love with her mother.'' Jack saw the look on Noah's face. ''This doesn't neccesary have to be true, but I think it's best if you try to talk with her. Maybe we even could do an DNA test to find out if she speaks the truth.''

Noah sat down on the sofa with Luke next to him. He couldn't say a word.

''Uncle Jack, do you mind if we do that tomorrow? I think Noah here needs to sleep.''

''Of course. Uhm, Noah, if you get any new information about that girl, feel free to contact me.''

''Yeah, sure,'' Noah said.

Jack turned around and walked away. At the front porch Holden stopped Jack.

''Thanks for coming so soon,'' Holden said.

''Sure, I just hope that Noah can sleep tonight. Poor guy, finding out that you have a sister out there.''

''Yeah, I'm glad that Noah has Luke to support him. And us of course.''

''Uhu, what's up with you and Lily? Are you guys back together, or..?'' Jack asked with a grin on his face.

''We, eh, we try to make it work. We still have feelings for each other, so..'' Holden said.

''Well, I hope you guys work it all out. Good luck with Noah and this girl and if you need to know something or anything at all, call me.''

''Will do, goodnight Jack. Drive safe,'' Holden said closing the door.

''Can I get you anything?'' Luke asked.

''No, I just..I need some sleep,'' Noah said. He stood up and walked upstairs to his bedroom and fell on the bed. Luke sat down next to him. Emma walked by and stopped.

''Is he okay?'' Emma asked and she walked in.

''He, well, there is this girl who is claiming to be Noah's sister. And his letter disapeared, she probably took it,'' Luke said brushing Noah's hair.

''Poor guy, Luke, maybe it's best if you stay with him tonight. To keep an close eye on him,'' Emma said.

''Okay, grandma. I'll stay with him tonight.''
