the young woman threw her popcorn bowl at the tv set. As the diva watched luke stormed off Stardiva yelled at her tv. FUCK NOAH GO AFTER HIM! DAMN IT!" what really pissed her off was the fact that Noah and Luke will not be on again till monday. they were making she and her fellow nuke lovers angie , twin ,Lots Eric( aka trampoline boy and the others sit through boring stuff like the court fight between ally and chris ( other wise known as the Hughes vs the stuart women and the whole stupid sophie thing.... . That means two days with out nuke ( minus the weekend).she wonders what the fan fic writers over on the board will write.. she heads over to read the continuation thread, while munching her popcorn,

After leaving Noah in Old Town, Luke ran back to the farm. Holden was still at Lily’s helping get the girls ready for summer camp so he had the farm to himself. He had heard Noah calling out to him as he left, but, he had heard enough from Noah for today. If he wanted his space, he'd give it to him.

He got a glass of water and sat at the kitchen table. He was glad, at first, to be alone and not have to answer any questions about how things went, but, then the memories of times he shared with Noah began to haunt him.

The kitchen held the most memories…

He saw them that hot night last August, when Maddie had left them to go swimming at the pond alone. Luke remembered watching Noah swimming that night and how beautiful his body looked in the moonlight, but, the moment he could never get out of his mind from that night didn’t happen at the pond, it happened in the kitchen. Their playful towel fight had turned into something more. Something that started them down the road that brought them to where they are today. Luke would never forget the look in Noah’s eyes or the feel of Noah’s wet skin against his own when he fell against him. Only to be interrupted by Maddie. What would have happened if Maddie didn’t come in that night?

Luke tried to shake off the memory…took a gulp of water and tried to control the tears that threatened to escape his eyes. The memories could not be controlled though…

It was the day after the Colonel had caught them kissing at WOAK and the Colonel had made Noah think that he could accept him. Luke had been surprised to receive the call from Noah that day and was even more shocked when the Colonel accepted Holden’s invitation to dinner. Noah was so different that day than Luke had ever seen him before. He was playful and affectionate and deep down Luke LOVED it, but, he was still worried about Noah’s dad. But, when he asked Luke to join them on the fishing trip, he couldn’t think of anything else to do than to accept. How would things have worked out for them if they hadn’t gone on that fishing trip with Noah’s father?

Luke looked around the kitchen…remembering all the days in the wheelchair. All the time that Noah came over and the studied together…just enjoying the time together and sharing Grandma Emma’s cookies and sharing the holidays!!

Luke and Noah had come back on the porch after walking Lily to her car. Noah handed Luke the Christmas card he had got him and Luke read the words he’d wished he could hear…”Love, Noah”. After, in the kitchen, Luke professed his love for Noah as well, adding that he was IN LOVE with Noah. What would have happened if dad hadn’t come downstairs at the moment that he had?

Luke was still fighting to keep the tears from falling from his eyes as the memories continued to flood his brain.

They were just about to kiss when they were interrupted yet again, this time by a knock on the door. They didn’t know it then, but, the woman that was at the door would change their lives, maybe forever as she told the story of knowing Noah’s father in Iraq. Where would they be today if Ameera had never come?

The last memory became too much for Luke and he stood up and ran out the door. Tears were streaming down his face as he crashed into his father.

“Luke are you okay?”

“Dad, I just need to be alone,” he said as he ran across the yard towards the open field.

In the meantime, back at the cottage, Noah was dealing with some memories of his own.
