 | When Noah Mayer made his first appearance on As the World Turns on June 1, 2007, he walked into a new internship at Oakdale's local TV station--and a new friendship with fellow interns Luke Snyder and Maddie Coleman. But within a few months, the pair found themselves swimming at the Snyder Farm, and afterward had a towel fight that ended with their faces inches apart when they were interrupted by Maddie, now Noah's girlfriend. Noah tried to deny his feelings for Luke, but when Noah's father, Col. Winston Mayer, came to town, Noah's resolve unraveled and on August 17, 2007, he kissed Luke.
Afterward Noah tried to deny his feelings for Luke, but by late September he had come out to Luke and kissed him again--only to have Winston walk in on them! After pretending to accept his son, Winston took Luke and Noah on a camping trip and tried to kill Luke. As a result, Luke was unable to walk or feel anything below his waist for months.
| Noah helped Luke recover even as Luke helped Noah to recover from the pain of his father's behavior and betrayal; together they confronted him on November 20, 2007, and Luke stood from his wheelchair for the first time as he told Winston that he loved his son. On December 20, 2007, Luke stood and walked at his family's Christmas dinner; afterward he professed his love to Noah and the two kissed under the mistletoe. Though Noah suggested that they get an apartment together, the couple currently reside with Luke's family at the Snyder Farm. As they continue to grow as a couple and in their love for one another, they have decided to take things slow in their relationship. |  |
In February 2008, a new person comes into the lives of Luke and Noah and brings news to Noah that shocks both of them. Ameera Ali Aziz, a young Iraqi Woman, has come to Oakdale to find Noah and his father Col. Winston Mayer. They go on a trip to see the Col. in Statesville Prison, but on the way a couple of local thugs, who are drunk, try to take Ameera. Luke and Noah try to stop them, but get bashed in the process.
 | On March 12th 2008, Noah decided to marry Ameera Ali Aziz, to help her remain in the country. With the witnesses of the whole Snyder Clan, including Luke, who was Noah’s Best man. After the wedding and technicalities, Noah abdand Luke had to make their relationship a very private one, as the ICE had decided that due to the nature and background of Ameera, and the sudden marriage of her to Noah, to keep en eye on them both. |
Noah and Ameera, after Will and Gwen had left to move interstate, decided after being allowed by Luke’s Grandmother, Lucinda, to move into the cottage on the 10th of April. Ameera starts to develop feelings for Noah, to which Noah makes it clear that he is in love with Luke. On a romantic evening out in Old Town with Luke, Noah kisses him!
After a few months married together, Ameera receives a phone call from Col. Mayer and Noah drives to the prison to seem him and warn him off. A couple of days later, Luke and Noah arrive at the cottage to find out that Ameera had left, leaving a note saying that she wished the boys well and sorry to impose on them. Just a few moments later an Illinois State Officer comes to the cottage to ask Noah if he has seen the Col. and informs both boys that Noah’s father has escaped from prison.
Noah flies to New York City after discovering a number and finding it's address. Luke then flies over to join him and help Noah find Ameera. Luke finds Ameera and Noah finds his father. Ameera advises Luke that she thinks Noah’s father is up to something, to which Luke and Ameera seek help from the NYPD. Ameera is then held in custody with the police dept. and Luke finds Noah and tells Noah of Ameera’s whereabouts.
 | Both boys then meet up with what is unknown to them as a Fake State Dept investigator (Ben Coyle) and fake NYPD Detective. They lure Noah to a Pier to which the fake officers hand Ameera over to the Col. and both Ameera and the Col. board a boat on the NYC harbour. |
Noah then tries to stop and talk sense into his crazy father while trying to save Ameera on the boat, while Luke, his Grandmother Lucinda and the real Ben Coyle from the State Dept get on another Boat. With Mr. Coyle calling out Winston's name, Winston who is talking with his son, believes he has been stalled and tricked and then dives into the NYC harbour.
Upon coming back to Oakdale, Luke and Noah have hit a bump in their relationship. Noah tells Luke he needs space and Luke keeps reminding Noah of all the good times, and to stop pushing him away. After receiving news from Oakdale PD that Noah’s father has been confirmed dead, and receiving his dog tags, Luke and Noah talk and have broken off, but for how long can they stay apart from one another?
