The next morning Noah woke up and slowly opened his eyes. He was in Luke’s room, in Luke’s bed, with a very naked Luke lying next to him. A wave of panic washed over him. Emma is going to kill me and then kick me out when she sees us like this! He looked at Luke who was slowly starting to wake up and moved so he was lying with his head on his boyfriend’s chest and his arm around him. Noah was just about to ask Luke if he had lost his mind and why the hell he was so calm about the fact that his boyfriend was going to be murdered by his grandmother, when he suddenly remembered. No more rules. He smiled to himself and got lost in the memories of the day and night, especially the night, he had just spent with Luke. He wrapped his arms around Luke and absentmindedly started running his fingers through his hair. “Hey you” Luke said softly as he raised up his head and smiled. “I could definitely get used to waking up like this.” “Hmm well you better.” Noah said as he gave his boyfriend a good morning kiss. “Because I’m not planning on ever sleeping alone again”
“Ah I see you two finally managed to drag yourselves out of bed. See what happens grandma? You let them share a room and they don’t get up until after everything is done. I think you should make them go back to their old rooms.” Aaron said laughingly. “Good morning to you too Aaron. What are you doing here? Where’s Alison?” Luke said as he tried to change the subject of the conversation. He didn’t want Emma to change her mind about letting them share a room. He looked at his grandmother who was laughing while putting two plates on the table for the boys. “Well my brother in law returned from Rome yesterday and I thought I’d come over and say hi and welcome home Noah.” Aaron said and turned his attention to Noah. “Hi and welcome home Noah. How was Rome?” “It was great. But it would’ve been better if Luke had been there with me.” Noah said smiling and kissed his boyfriend on the cheek. “Oh and congratulations by the way, I’m sorry I missed your wedding.” “It’s ok, I’ll just make sure I’m in Rome too when you two get married.” Aaron said jokingly.
After breakfast the boys had decided to head into Old Towne and just spend some time together doing nothing in particular but just be together. “You want to get some ice cream?” Noah said as they walked around and passed the ice cream parlour. “Ice cream? Noah, it’s October.” Luke said looking at Noah as if he had just said something really stupid. “So what? Noah said shrugging his shoulders. “It’s sunny, it’s still pretty warm and I want some ice cream. Come on.” He said as he dragged Luke inside.
10 minutes later they were sitting on a bench in Old Towne. “You know, this was actually a really good idea.” Luke said smiling while eating his ice cream. “I told you, I know everything, I always have good ideas.” Noah said jokingly. “Yeah, yeah very funny.” Luke said as he got up from the bench and sat down on Noah’s lap a naughty grin plastered all over his face. “What are you up to? I know that grin..” Noah said as he tried to get Luke off his lap. “What? I’m not up to anything. I just want to cuddle with my boyfriend for a bit.” Luke said innocently and moved his face close to Noah’s. “You’ve been away for a month Noah, I just.. want.. to be.. close.. to you..” Luke said in between kisses. Noah had completely forgotten about the possible danger of having a naughty Luke with an ice cream in his hand on his lap and let himself get lost in the moment. Until the feeling of Luke’s warm hand on his face was replaced by something cold. He quickly opened his eyes and looked into Luke’s brown eyes while he moved his hand from under Luke’s shirt to his own face. “What did you do that for?” He asked confused. Luke gave him a wicked grin and grabbed the hand Noah had just used to wipe the ice cream off his face and started licking and sucking the ice cream off his boyfriend’s fingers. Never breaking eye contact while he was doing it. Noah thought it was the sexiest thing he’d ever seen.
“You have no idea what you do to me, do you?” Noah said as he lazily drew circles on his boyfriends bare back. “Hmm I think I know now..” Luke said smiling. “I kind of like this side of you.” He and softly placed some kisses on Noah’s bare chest. “You planned all this didn’t you?” Noah asked. “How could I have planned this?” Luke said raising himself up slightly. “You were the one that wanted ice cream. And you were the one that dragged me here.” Luke said with a smirk. “Oh yeah and you we’re completely innocent in this right? Sitting on my lap, kissing me like that, sucking on my fingers like that.” Noah said raising an eyebrow at the last part of his sentence. “Hmm well.. as I recall.. you weren’t exactly trying to stop me now were you.” Luke said grinning and kissed his boyfriend’s chest again. “I can’t believe we just did that.” Noah said more to himself than to Luke. “Did what?” Luke asked. “Did what?! We just literally “got a room” Luke. In the hotel your brother and your mother work and just about everyone knows us.” Noah said freaking out and getting up from the bed looking for his clothes. “Hey will you calm down.” Luke said sitting up. “We didn’t do anything wrong, ok. Who cares what everyone else thinks. We enjoyed ourselves and that’s all that matters.” Luke said calmly. The freaked out look on Noah’s face disappeared and a smile appeared. “I love you” he just said and got back in bed and let Luke wrap his arms around him. “I love you too, but you’re crazy”
“Where did I park the truck again?” Noah asked rubbing a hand over his face. “Uh I think it was near Al’s.” Luke answered. “Maybe we should go get something to eat and then think about where you parked the truck. I can’t think on an empty stomach.” Luke said as he grabbed Noah’s hand and started walking towards Al’s. “See there it is. I knew it was here.” Luke said pointing to Noah’s truck. “Oh yeah sure you did, you only wanted to get something to eat.” Noah said joking and felt relieved to see his truck again. “Well.. yes that too, but I knew it was here too.” Luke joked back. They walked into the diner ordered and sat down at their favourite table.
“Hey isn’t that your friend from the trip?” Luke said gesturing to the guy that just walked through the door. “Oh yeah it is. Hey Mark.” Noah said, the last part a little louder so the other guy would hear him. “Noah, hi, how are you? Long time no see.” Mark joked as he walked over. “Hi, Luke. You guys mind if I sit down for a sec? I’m just waiting for my order. I’m on a food run for John’s band.” “Sure, go ahead, sit down. John is in a band?” Noah asked his friend. “Yeah he’s the singer and he plays guitar.” Mark answered. “Hey guys I’m not interrupting your date or anything am I?” Mark said looking from Noah to Luke and back. “No, no, we’re not on a date. I’m not that bad of a boyfriend to take the love of my life out on a date to Al’s for a hamburger and a milkshake.” Noah said jokingly. “No he’s a much better boyfriend than that.” Luke said smiling at his boyfriend. “Hey if you guys aren’t busy tonight, you should stop by Yo’s. John’s band is playing there tonight. That battle of the bands thing – you might have heard about it. Anyway they’re on at 11 tonight. Would be cool to see you guys there.” Mark said excitedly. “We don’t have any plans for tonight I think.” Noah said looking at Luke. “Ok great I’ll put your names on the guest list so you can get in free. See you tonight guys.” Mark said getting up from his chair and grabbing the bag with his order before walking out the door.
“So are you sure you don’t mind going tonight?” Noah asked Luke for the millionth time that night. “Yes, Noah I’m sure. Mark is a nice guy and even if John’s band sucks, it’s still better than spending our Saturday evening watching TV with my grandma.” Luke said and turned his attention back to his hair. “You do realise you’re not the one performing tonight, don’t you?” Noah said jokingly as he walked up behind Luke and wrapped his arms around his waist. “Oh just because I won’t be on the stage tonight I’m not allowed to look good?” Luke said pretending to be angry. “Hmm you always look good to me.” Noah said smiling.
They got to Yo’s half an hour before John’s band was due on stage and they decided to get a table and watch the other band play. “Oh hey you made it.” Mark shouted as he greeted the boys. “It’s pretty busy tonight and we even sold a few demo CD’s already. They will be on in 15 minutes so I’ve to go and find a good spot in front of the stage because I’m the camera man tonight. I’ll come and find you when they’re done. See you later!” “Hi Mark, bye Mark.” Noah said laughingly as he watched his friend move through the crowd.
15 minutes later John’s band, The Arrested, started playing and they seemed to have a lot of fans in the crowd. Luke noticed a few girls trying to get John’s attention and chuckled. Guess they don’t know that much about their favourite band, he thought. “Ok people this is our last song for tonight” John announced about 30 minutes later. “Thank you all for coming and I hope to see you all at our next gig! This song is dedicated to the love of my life and our camera man for tonight – Mark. I love you babe!” Luke quickly looked at the girls that were trying to get John to notice them earlier and the look of disappointment on their faces made him laugh. “What are you laughing at?” Noah asked him. “Nothing. Just an inside joke I share with myself.” Luke said still laughing. “And you tell me I’m crazy..” Noah said shaking his head and laughing.
“So what did you guys think of the gig?” John asked taking a sip of his beer. “Be honest. You can tell me if it sucked.” “No it didn’t suck at all. I think you guys are pretty good.” Luke said resting his head on Noah’s shoulder. “Yeah really convincing when you say it like that Luke.” John said joking. They all laughed. “Hey it’s almost 2am, I’m tired, give me a break.” Luke said defending himself. “Maybe you should take your guy home Noah, before he falls asleep on the table here.” John teased Luke. They had been talking for a while and all four boys got along quite well. “How did you come up with that band name anyway?” Noah asked. “Oh well that’s easy. We formed this band a few years ago but we didn’t have a name. And then our drummer, Dean, got himself arrested – he still hasn’t told us what for – and BAM The Arrested was born.” John explained. “So how did you two become well, you two? How did you meet?” Mark asked Noah. “Uh we met at work last summer.” Noah quickly explained not wanting to tell the whole story again.
“I had a good time tonight.” Luke said as he got into bed snuggling close to Noah. “Yeah me too. John is crazy though.” Noah said wrapping his arms around Luke. “Yeah but a fun kind of crazy.” Luke replied. “Have I told you how happy I am that you’re back?” “Hmm nope, I don’t think so.” Noah said jokingly. “Have I told you how happy I am to be back? And that you gave me the best welcome home present ever when you told me we’re sharing a room?”
No more rules. Those definitely were Noah’s new favourite words in the English language.

yep I did it again. I continued this story again. So much for a stand alone eh? :P
Im not too happy with it but i thought i'd post it anyway anywayz I hope you like it and if you dont well.. too bad! lol |
