The hours passed, as Luke, Lily, Damian, and Holden waited for word of Noah's injuries. Luke, who felt guilty for what happened, was the most worried of all
them. He had watched as his boyfriend fell off the ladder,and right onto the ground. Luke had tears in his eyes, as he felt that it was all his fault that this happened....if he had just told Noah he took the DVD to Damian, none of this would have happened. Luke sat there, worrying that his boyfriend would still be furious with him after all this. Mason, on the other hand, had stayed away from the hospital, knowing if he showed up, Luke would kick his a'ss right out of Oakdale. Mason also felt guilty for what happened....if he had just admitted to Noah that Luke was right all along, none of this would have happened, and Noah wouldn't be in the hospital right now. So both of them felt guilty for different reasons.
Luke just wanted Noah to be alright, cause he couldn't lose the love of his life...not right now. He finally got up, and looked at his watch Noah gave him nearly a year ago. Something that showed how much love meant to the both of them. Luke and Noah's relationship had been rocky several times, but right at this moment, it wasn't good. He was afraid of losing the one person who meant so much to him, the person who helped him through a rough time when he was in that wheelchair for months. As Luke was about to check up on him, the door to the room opened, and the doctor came out. Luke, his mother and 2 dads all stood up, and was ready hear about Noah's condition.

"The good news is that he's breathing and alive, but we do have a problem.", the doctor started to say.
"A problem?, Luke asked, what else could it be?"
"When the fireworks exploded, something caused Noah's eyes to be damaged. From what I see, it's not good right now.", the doctor responded.
"What are you saying doc?, Lily asked, is Noah?"
"Yes, but temporarily, until we know for sure the extent of the damage. Luke, your boyfriend's blind.", the doctor answered.
"This..this isn't possible!, Luke said, getting upset more, I told him he shouldn't have been messing with it. Now look what happened!!! He should have listened to me! Not the others, or that damn Mason...Mason...he's the reason Noah and I are struggling!"
"Alright son, that's not a good idea to blame it on the jerk who tried to take your boyfriend away from you. We all need to focus on Noah and his recovery. Doctor, does Noah know about it yet?", Damian said, as he comforted his son.
"Damian's right Luke, Holden said, focus on Noah. Mason isn't a threat anymore to either one of you.", Holden said.
" But the thing is, the doctor continued on, we need to relieve the pressure, so surgery is the best way for Noah to recover, and slowly get his eyesight back."
" Surgery?, Luke asked, but I thought you said he was alright!"
" There's also some pressure on the brain, so he needs the surgery, otherwise he could...", the doctor said, as Damian interrupted him.
" I don't think we want to hear those words, Damian said, cause Noah means a lot to this family, especially to my son."
" Do it, Luke said, I'll convince him."

Luke walked into Noah's room, standing there for a moment. There was his boyfriend, and lover....lying in the bed, with his eyes closed. Luke tried so hard not to cry, but the tears were coming. He grabbed the chair, and sat down right on Noah's right side of the bed. Noah stirred, and his eyes opened. But all he could see was darkness.
" Who's there?, Noah asked, Why can't I see you?"
" Bubby, Luke said, it's me. Can you see me? I'm right here next to you."
" Luke, Noah answered, I can't see you, but I can hear your voice. What happened? Why can't I see?"
" Do you remember that you were working on the film?, Luke explained, You wanted to get the fireworks display up, and you wouldn't listen to me. You were about to connect the wires, when it exploded, and you fell off the ladder. You scared the hell out of me. But there's more."
" Oh my god, Noah said, I remember saying that something wasn't right. Oh my god!!! Am I?"
" Let me get the doctor, so he can explain, ok?", Luke said, as he was about to go.
" Luke, please, don't go!!!, Noah cried out, I want you to tell me first. So I can prepare for the worst."
" But I feel like it's my fault...I should have never pushed you this far, but Mason's a fool. And I still feel guilty for him being canned, even though I didn't do it. If anyone should be told off, it's Damian, not me!!", Luke said, afraid that Noah will go off on him.
" Luke, come over here right NOW!, Noah demanded, I want YOU to tell me. And I want the truth!"
Luke took a deep breath, and sat back down once again. Noah was able to feel for Luke's hand, and took it, intertwining their fingers.
" Now, what's wrong with me? Why can't I see you, but hear you?", Noah asked calmly.
" The accident caused damage on your eyes, but there's something else wrong.", Luke began to say.
" Luke just come out with it!", Noah answered, getting upset.
" There's some pressure on the brain too..Noah....you're blind, but temporarily. You need surgery to relieve the pressure, and to help heal your eyes.", Luke answered.
" Blind?, Noah asked, squeezing Luke's hand tight, is that why I can't see anything? Luke, answer me!!!!"
" Yes., Luke said, you are blind. But if you don't have the surgery, you'll never see me or anyone again. But there's a problem too."
" What else could it possibly be?", Noah asked, holding onto Luke very tight.
" The doctor needs a consent to have it done. And since your dad isn't here, my mom and Damian are willing to sign it for you, because I'm not family, and I can't do it. But I think you need to do this...for you, for me, for us, for our family. Mom and Damian are willing to adopt you into the family, so the surgery can be done."
" But then that means we'll be brothers as well as boyfriends. I don't know Luke. This is hard for me to process. Give me a chance to think it over.", Noah said.
" You don't have a choice. It has to be done as soon as possible. I can't lose you, if this doesn't happen.", Luke said, as Noah got even more upset.
" Just go.....leave me alone for a while....NOW!", Noah said, as he started to cry.
" But...", Luke said.
"GO LUKE! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!", Noah demanded, as Luke ran out of the room crying.

After Luke ran out of the room, Lily realized what had happened, and she went into see Noah. She was determined to convince him to do the surgery. Damian and Holden ran after their son, while she stayed with her soon to be son. She sat down next to him, and grabbed his hand. Noah felt someone, but it wasn't Luke.
":Who's there?", Noah asked.
"Sweetie, it's me.", Lily answered.
"Lily? What's wrong? Is Luke mad at me?", Noah asked.
" He's just upset sweetie, but he really needs you to listen. You need this operation very badly. He can't lose you...we can't lose you..we all love you so much. You gave my son the gift of love and compassion. You were there for him when he needed you, and now he wants to do the same for you. Damian and I are willing to adopt you into the family to have this done. Luke's brother and sisters already love you, and Luke loves you very much. You may be brothers by adoption, just like Luke is to Holden, but you're still gonna be together. You can still have your relationship, and Luke will be there for you all the way through recovery. I just...we all need you to do this..not for me, Holden, or Damian....but for Luke's sake. He loves you so much, and he cannot lose you."
Noah started to cry, as Lily took him into his arms.
She held him, as he told her, "Ok. I'll do it...Mom." Lily started to cry, as both of them held each other. Luke and Damian returned to the room, and saw a sweet sight....his mom and boyfriend in tears, and hugging. Luke ran right over, and held onto Noah and Lily, crying as well. Damian and Holden held them as well...all of them held Noah tight, until they all let go. Damian took Lily out of the room, with Holden right behind them. Luke stayed with Noah, climbing into the bed with him. Noah cried in Luke's arms, as Luke whispered sweet things into his ears. Within 5 minutes, both were asleep.

The next day, Noah was prepped for surgery. Luke stayed overnight, making sure his boyfriend, and now big brother, was comfortable. Lily and Damian had officially adopted Noah into the family. Holden was very happy to have Noah as his son as well. He always thought of him as his own, and now he was. The doctor came in one more time to make sure Noah was ready. Noah gripped Luke's hand tight, as he was rolled into surgery.
" You're gonna be alright bubby, Luke said, And we'll be waiting for you after this is over. I love you so much. Thank you for doing this."
" I love you too, Noah said, because you're my family...you all are..."
Luke leaned down, and kissed his boyfriend with passion. After the kiss, Noah was rolled into surgery. Luke went into Holden's arms, crying, while Lily and Damian held each other.
Hours passed, as everyone waited for Noah to come out of surgery. Suddenly, Mason arrived, finding out what had happened. The minute Luke saw him, he shoved him against the wall.
"You!, Luke said, you're the reason my boyfriend is in surgery. I told you never to come near me or Noah ever again. Why are you here?"
" I just wanted to see if he's alright..I felt bad for what happened.", Mason said.
" You should feel bad!, Luke said, getting angrier, you kissed my boyfriend, and tried to keep him away from me. I want you gone...right NOW!! AND NEVER COME BACK!! DO YOU HEAR ME??????"
" Luke, let him go!!, Damian said, grabbing his son, and holding him, You better get out of here, before I have you arrested!"
" Tell Noah I'm sorry for everything, Mason said, as he handed Damian a letter, And he deserves to have his film finished by Luke. The dean is allowing Luke to finish the film for Noah, so he can graduate."
" You want me to finish it? But we use some of my script, ok?", Luke said.
" Agreed. Good luck to you both. Oh, and by the way, George got in touch with me. I'm heading back to L.A. to see him.", Mason said.
" That's great., Luke said, now leave before I change my mind."
Mason left the hospital, as Luke broke down in Damian's arms.

An hour later, Noah was in recovery...the surgery successful. His eyes were bandaged, as well as his head. He lay there, with Luke by his side. He never left his boyfriend/lover/brother's side. Luke fell asleep on Noah's leg, as Noah woke up. He felt Luke's blond head, as he caressed his hair gently. Luke woke up, and saw his boyfriend awake.
"Hey you, Luke said, how do you feel?"
"Tired and in a little bit of pain, but pretty good., Noah answered, as Luke climbed into the bed.
Luke caressed his man's hair, and looked at the one person he loved so much. He leaned in, and they shared a tender kiss, while holding each other tight. After the kiss, they laid in bed together, until they fell asleep.
Noah realized something later on, and started to say to Luke, "Baby, I may be blind for now, but you are my new eyes. You can see for me, until I can see again. Luke, who was still asleep, had a smile on his face. It's as if he knew what Noah was saying. Noah kissed Luke's forehead, and fell right back to sleep.
