Parts 43 - 49
| L43 Jade convinces Holden that Luke is really just upset about the way that Holden handeled things with Kevin. She tells him she doesn't think there's anything to his suspicions that Luke might be gay. When Luke walks in, Holden apologizes for the way he had behaved and tells Luke he loves him. | |
| L44 Jade is caught in Lily and Holden's bedroom. She makes up an excuse to explain her presences away, but leaves with Lily's bracelet. Jade tries to hide the bracelet in the barn, but Emma catches her. Jade spins another story to try to explain away having the bracelet, but Emma doesn't seem to be buying it, until Luke shows up and backs Jade up. HOwever, once Emma is gone, Luke is angry because he knows the bracelet had been in his mother's jewelry box. He wants to know who Jade really is. | |
| L45 Jade convinceds Luke she wasn't going to steal the bracelet, and gets him to calm down. Emma stops by the Snyder home and talks to Lily and Holden about what Luke and Jade had to say at the barn. Holden gets Lily to agree to wait and see if Jade and Luke's story pans out, and in the meantime, they decide to keep a closer eye on Jade. Meanwhile, Jade calls Kevin and asks him to come to the barn. Luke tries to get Jade to understand that Kevin wants nothing to do with him, but Jade thinks things will be fine if they can just spend some time together. | |
| L46 Lily finds Jade downstairs and asks more questions about her past at the orphanage. Kevin shows up at the barn expecting to find Jade, but finds Luke instead. He wants nothing to do with Luke, and Luke grabs his coat to stop him from leaving. Luke begs Kevin not to leave him, and Holden sees the whole exchange. | |
| L47 Lily asks Jade some more questions about her time in the orphanage, and something sparks her suspicions. She calls the local Catholic priest for help. Kevin sees Holden and leaves. Holden wants to know why Luke was so desperate to see Kevin, and Luke claims that he was trying to tell Kevin to stay away from Jade. Holden tells Luke he thinks something else is going on, and Luke says that if he really wants to know everything, all he has to do is ask, but he better be sure he's ready to handle it. Their conversation flares up again, and Holden asks if Luke is happy. When Luke says he is, Holden just has one more question. | |
| L48 Jade interrupts before Holden can ask his question. Luke leaves with her, and she again tries to explain her reason for taking his mom's bracelet. Meanwhile, Lily meets with Father White to find out if a baby born and named in a Catholic orphanage would ever be given a name like Jade. He says that doesn't sound right. Outside, Jade gets Luke to promise that he'll never turn on her. When they see Father White leaving the house, Jade wants to know why a Catholic Priest would be at the house at that hour. | |
| L49 Holden imagines two different scenarios in which he asked Luke if he was gay...and neither ends well. Meanwhile, Lily calls the orphanage and makes plans to come the next day to resolve her questions about Jade. |
