Maddie nailed it--the Col. is crazy. The actor really is doing a great job. I keep being surprised at the chemistry between Jake and Van. I wonder how many actors they screen tested for it. I have seen my fair share of soap couples and there are some that have it and some that don't. These two have it.
And the writers keep surprising me. The whole "why can't I feel my legs?" threw me for a loop. Here I was reading the spoilers, knowing that Luke was going to be hurt and I am still shocked at the possibility that Luke is going to be paralyzed. Boy they are really treating them like every other soap couple! And it accomplishes so many things. It slows down the physicality of their relationship but will allow the attraction to continue. Noah is going to go on an emotional roller coaster as will Luke. It will allow the audience that isn't quite behind them to feel badly, and maybe even root for them a little.

thanks. so many people dismiss soaps, but I think they often can tell stories in a way that really educates people. I wish I knew if the writers knew that their work is being noticed. The actors can be really good but if the story is horrible it isn't watchable.
