Parts 8 - 14
| L8 Keith wrestles the knife away from Luke after Luke tries to cut himself. Holden takes Luke home and tells Lily he's realized things have gone too far. He's ready to sign the divorce papers in the hopes that it will allow their kids to accept where things stand and move forward in a healthy manner. | |
| L9 Lily and Holden discuss the divorce, and Lily makes excuses not to sign the papers. She realizes Holden is trying to get her to do right by her family by forcing her to face the possibility of divorce. Lily heads to the airport without signing the papers. Keith waits for her with one-way tickets to California. Luke is devestated to learn Holden couldn't stop Lily. | |
| L10 Lily asks Keith to let her out of their deal, so that she can return to her family, without breaking her word. Keith says she's free to return to her family...or to keep her word. It's up to her to do the right thing. Holden tells Luke not to blame himself for his parents' problems. Just as Luke realizes Lily must be gone for good, she walks through the door. | |
| L11 Lily and Holden officially reunite, and Holden suggests that they renew their vows. Lucinda, Luke, and Luke's sister Faith get the good news. Lucinda is asked to give Lily away, Faith asks to be the flower girl, and Holden asks Luke to be his best man...and to see a psychiatrist. Luke and Lucinda talk about needing to stay strong. | |
| L12 Luke asks Holden to explain why he and Lily got married in the first place. Holden says the key was that Lily accepted him...and tells Luke that if he ever finds someone who accepts him that way, never to let go. Lucinda fears her illness might prevent her from attending the ceremony, but ends up feeling better. The ceremony gets underway. | |
| L13 Lily and Holden renew their vows. After the ceremony, Lucinda points out to Luke that everything has worked out, so he should cheer up. Lucinda comments that the girls will soon be lining up for him...and it seems like that might not be what Luke wants. Luke takes a glass of champagne outside and when Lucinda catches him drinking, he lies, claiming it was ginger ale. | |
| L14 Holden and the kids move back in with Lily. Luke goes to play basketball with Kevin. Lucinda expresses her concerns about Luke's state of mind to Lily and Holden, telling them she thinks he might be drinking again. They try to brush off her fears, but can't be sure she isn't right. Outside, Kevin insists Luke give him a backrub. At first Luke refuses, but then seems to enjoy it...as Holden looks on from inside. |
