They were asleep in bed and the sun was filtering through the curtains when the alarm clock went on. They didn’t move at all and the alarm kept going on and on till Noah stirred and opened his eyes

“What the…”

He stopped the alarm climbing on top of Luke and looked at him

“Luke?”

He was asleep. He was lying on his side and had a big smile on his face. Noah smiled and kissed his forehead

“Wake up, babe”

“Mhhh”

“Luke”

Luke kept on sleeping

“Okay… go ahead and dream all you want”

He got up and went to check on Aaron. He was asleep too

“Aaron, time to get up, come on”

“Mhhh”

“Wake up, son”

“I don’t want to…”

“I know, but it’s time to get ready for school”

“Where’s Daddy?”

“He’s asleep”

Aaron looked at him

“Is he sick?”

“No, why?”

“He never sleeps…”

“Well, he’s doing it now. Come on, get up”

“Are you going to make breakfast?”

“Yes, what are you going to wear today…?”

He opened Aaron’s closet and tried to find somethig

“Here, jeans and t-shirt. Get dressed and go to the kitchen, ok?”

“Okay”

“Good”

Noah left the bedroom and decided to check on Luke. He just realized that he’d never got Aaron ready in the morning, by the time he showered and dressed Luke and Aaron were always already at the kitchen having breakfast.

“Luke”

Luke turned around on the bed.

“Shit… you are not sick, are you?”

He touched Luke’s forehead but it wasn’t hot. He just seemed to be very asleep, nothing else.

“Alright…”

He moved the covers aside, but Luke didn’t seem to notice. Noah smiled at the image before his eyes… Luke asleep with only boxers on

“I love summer, I just do…”

He kissed Luke in the small of his back

“I’ll give you 10 more minutes”

He went back to Aaron’s room and saw that his son had thrown the pjs all over the floor and picked it up and made the bed. He then walked towards the kitchen were coffee was already done and saw Aaron sitting down at the table looking pretty much as asleep as Luke. He smiled

“Hey, son, you with me?”

“Milk”

Noah laughed and poured some milk in a power rangers cup for Aaron.

“Here”

Aaron picked up the cup and started drinking

“Daddy is still asleep, I can’t seem to be able to wake him up”

“Daddy always gives you coffee”

“Coffee?”

“He puts it on the table next to your bed”

“You’re right… wait a sec”

Noah got a cup of coffee and went back to the bedroom. Luke hasn’t moved an inch. He set the cup next to him in the night table

“Dad?! Can I have Cheerios today?!”

“Time to get up, Luke, sorry”

He kissed him again and went back to the kitchen. He promised himself he was going to wake up earlier every morning from that moment on.

He went into the kitchen and saw Aaron still sitting down. He always did that, it took him a long time to be awake.

He got a bowl and put some cereals on it, he then poured some milk too and put it in front of Aaron

“Here”

“I don’t have a spoon”

“Right, a spoon”

He gave Aaron a spoon

“Daddy’s still sleeping?”

“Yep”

He got a cup of coffee for himself and sat down with him

“Can I jump on the bed?”

“What?”

He smiled

“How could I forget… of course you can”

Aaron ran to the bedroom and climbed on the bed. Noah smiled

“Go ahead, hun, just enjoy”

Aaron started jumping up and down and laughing.

“You really like that, don’t you?”

Aaron nodded with his head while bouncing around on the bed, Noah felt all his love for his son swallow him.

“Come here”

“But he is not awake yet”

“I know, come here”

Aaron stopped jumping and walked towards Noah who held him up in his arms and looked at him

“What?”

“You know I love you, right?”

Aaron smiled and nodded

“Yes, I love you too, Dad”

Noah held him tight and kissed his head. He still had trouble believing he was a father. Aaron was the best thing that ever happened to him.

“Mhhh, beautiful way of starting a day”

Noah and Aaron turned their heads to look at Luke, who was looking at them

“Can I wake up to this everyday?”

Noah smiled

“Ah, you are awake, at last”

Aaron laughed

“Can I go have my cheerios now?”

“Sure”

Noah kissed his head again before setting him on the floor. Aaron ran to the kitchen and Noah lay down next to Luke and kissed him.

“Good morning”

Luke smiled

“Good morning”

“It sure took you a while to wake up today”

Luke kissed his husband again and smiled

“Someone wore me out yesterday, I guess”

Noah kissed him remembering the night before

“Mhhh… oh, yeah, must’ve been that…”

They kissed again and Noah held Luke’s face between his hands

“I love you”

“I love you too”

They kissed again.
