Authors submit and write their own work.Noah looked out the window at the raging Sierra snow storm and thought that if you could look into his own mind that is what it would look like. Thoughts flying around like snowflakes carried by a stiff wind with a strong emotion of fear constantly hanging there. Noah sat down in a big chair, faced the window and decided it was time to figure some things out. He loved Luke and he loved being in a relationship with him but he was scared to death. Up to meeting Luke any relationship or friendship he had with another guy was carefully scrutinized by his father. He thought about Mike and how close they became a few years ago. His father has been on a deployment overseas and he actually had the time and freedom to become close to another gay boy. Mike was masculine, athletic and was sweet. It started innocently and Noah did not hear the rumors about Mike being gay until well after they had become friends. They would hang around after school and the friends of Colonel Mayer that were helping watch Noah while he was away were clueless anything was developing between the two boys. One afternoon after school the boys were in the house alone after working out at the post gym. Noah was getting a container of milk from the refrigerator and as he walked past Mike he gently placed his hand on his shoulder. Mike leaned his head over onto Noah’s hand and rubbed his hand with his face. Noah put the milk container down, and standing above him lifted Mike’s face so he could look into his eyes. Mike smiled broadly and Noah stroked his soft brown skin with the back of his hand. Noah then leaned forward and kissed him and Mike eagerly participated. From that moment on a romance began to kindle. Wherever you would find Noah, Mike was right there and vice versa. They would spend their time hugging and kissing and being near each other. Mike was amazed at how much love Noah had to give and one sleepy fall afternoon Mike and Noah, both virgins, discovered each others bodies fully and made love. “Made love”, Noah thought, “Not fucked”. After that day they became closer than ever and someone must have noticed. Shortly after Colonel Mayer arrived home Mike was banned from the house for being a “bad influence” on Noah. Noah was forbidden to see or talk to Mike under pain of severe punishment. Noah could not abide by this and would try to see Mike every chance he got. One afternoon when he they had gone bowling together, Colonel Mayer stormed into the bowling alley, pulled Noah out and within two weeks had received a transfer from Fort Drum, New York to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri thus putting an end to the budding romance. What hurt Noah the most was that before they left Fort Drum, his father had a long talk with Mike’s father and “outed” Mike saying he was making advances on his son and corrupting his boy’s morals. This effectively destroyed any possibility of a relationship of any kind with Mike and also destroyed any chance of a friendship. The feelings he had for Luke were very similar to the feelings he had for Mike just much, much stronger. Whether he could say it was true love or not he was not sure. He simply did not have the experience to know what that felt like, but he thought it was. He drew off Luke’s energy and it made him feel whole. He got a tingly feeling when he would touch Luke’s hair and he felt an adrenaline rush shoot through his body when they kiss passionately. When they had sex he felt almost desperate to give Luke his cum. When he would cum inside of Luke he felt like he was giving him a part of himself that was pure love. To know he was still "in him" after sex, and he remained a part of Luke, was one of the most intense feelings that he had ever experienced. He knew Luke loved him and he certainly said it enough. Noah was just getting used to saying “I love you” and was still uncomfortable with the three little words. With so many emotions and feelings swirling around in his head Noah felt overwhelmed sometimes. He had tried to talk about it with Luke but he could never put it in the right words and Luke would always end up saying, “Are you sure you love me”, to which he would reply “Yes”. There was another thing Noah felt Luke did not understand. Luke had a great support system. He could talk to Lily, Holden, and Aaron, Meg or a multitude of different people about his feelings. Noah could talk to two, Luke and himself. This situation made working out feelings and emotions very hard. How could he ever say to Luke, “What does love feel like”. Luke would shit a brick. He was supposed to be in love with him and he should know what that feels like, would be Luke’s answer and he knew a huge argument would rapidly ensue. The last thing he needed in his state of mind was to be on the receiving end of a Snyder man tantrum. So he tried to work out all his emotions based on his experience and what he had learned growing up from his father. That last part terrified him. Now, to make matters more complicated was the addition of this stranger, Alex, that he met for ten minuets yesterday and now had intense feeling for. How could he feel like this about a total stranger? Why would he feel like this if he was in love with Luke? Why could he not get the rugged little Trooper out of his mind? The badge, the uniform, that blond hair and those brown eyes were enough to melt any boy's heart. The jolt of electricity he felt when Alex went out of his way to touch his hand when installing the chains shot through him again as he thought about it. If he would have had more experience or a better support system of people he could talk to he would have known that Nicole was right and these were just normal feelings. But he was confused about what Nicole had said to him and he was embarrassed to bring it up with her again. He looked sadly out the window at the snow blowing by the house. Nicole stood in the doorway to the living room looking at Noah feeling very sad for him. She knew he cared greatly for Luke and that was easy to see when they were together. She also realized he knew nothing about love and relationships and this worried her greatly. She already, after two days, had begun to refer to Luke and Noah as “my boys” and was really scared that Noah’s relationship inexperience combined with his repressed emotions would lead him to make disastrous decisions with this new Trooper friend of his. She could not decide the best way to approach it and since he and Luke were always together when they were awake it was hard to get Noah alone. “Well, Nicole”, she thought to herself, “There’s no time like the present”. She walked into the room and Noah turned his head and smiled at her saying “Good morning, Nicole”. Nicole returned the greeting and sat down across from Noah and said “Noah, I need to talk to you about what we talked about the….” She never got to finish that conversation because just at that moment Luke walked into the room and said “Morning”.
