Noah arrived at Bruce's house. Bruce opened the door. "Noah. I'm so glad you made it."
Noah hugged Bruce. He hadn't seen Bruce since he had come to find out if his Aunt Ruth had told him the truth about him possibly being his father. Even at that first meeting, which should have been awkward and uncomfortable, Noah felt a connection to Bruce. "Yeah, but Luke couldn't make it. Something came up."
Bruce took Noah's bag. "I hope it isn't anything serious."
Noah shook his head. "Just something he had to take care of with his family."
Bruce led Noah upstairs. "Family is always important. I hope he'll be able to make it spring break. Come on, I'll show you to your room. The kids are still at school and Liz ran some errands, so you will have some time to unwind."
Noah stepped into the room. It was simply decorated. Blue walls and a stripped comforter. A dresser was on one side. There were two windows, that let in a lot of light. "It was nice of you to invite me."
Bruce put Noah's bag on the bed. "The kids have done nothing but bug us about when you were coming to visit again. I thought that Dan wouldn't like the idea of not being the oldest, but since you weren't moving in or anything he thought it was cool. I hope the room is okay. It was Dan's before we moved him to the attic room."
Noah smiled. "It's fine."
Bruce walked to the door. "Great. I'll leave you alone to unpack."
Noah turned and waved at Bruce. "I'll be down soon."
Bruce stopped in the doorway and turned back. "Noah, I'm really glad that you're here."

Noah sat on the end of the bed. He took out his cell phone. "Hi Luke."
Luke was so glad to hear Noah's voice. "Noah. I take it that you made it okay."
Noah nodded. "Yep. No problems."
Luke laid on the sofa. "I know that you have only been gone a few hours, but knowing that you are so far away, I miss you so much."
Noah smiled. "I miss you too. What are you doing?"
Luke looked around the apartment. "I was just finishing up a couple of things around here before I head over to my Mom's. We're going to have dinner."
Noah started to unpack as he talked to Luke. "Is she doing any better?"
Luke shook his head. "Not really. She is at least trying to put up a front now. I'm really glad that I stayed. How's your Dad?"
Noah smiled. "He's great. You would think that he had known me all my life. I'm sitting in a room and I feel like I should start putting up pictures. That's how at home I feel."
Luke got sad. "Don't you forget your home is here."
Noah shook his head. "No. That's not what I mean. I'm sure that when you go back to the farm and you go to your room. You get a feeling of being safe. Well, that is how I feel here. I can't describe it."
Luke began to understand what Noah was trying to say. "I get it. I'm glad that you feel that way. I'm glad Bruce gives you that feeling of belonging that you never got with Winston."
Noah smiled. Luke always understood him. "I love you."
Luke got up to get a drink from the fridge. "I love you too. I don't know how I'm going to make it through the next couple of days."
Noah sat back on the bed. "I'll call you tonight. We can talk until you feel sleepy."
Luke felt a little better. "That will be great. I better get over to my Mom's."
Noah laid on the bed. "Okay, tell her that I said hi."
The two said their good byes and hung up the phone.

Two men were sitting in a bar on the west side of Chicago. "All you have to do is give him the package and have him take it back to Oakdale."
The younger man took the package. "What's in it?"
The older man leaned in to the younger one. "That's not your concern. Just make sure that he takes the package with him."
The man put the package in his pocket. "Okay, but you are suppose to have something for me."
The older man handed the younger man two packets containing a white substance. "That is what we agreed. If everything goes as planned, there will be more coming."
He took the packets and put them in his pocket. "I hope my old man doesn't find out about this. He will have my head."
The older man got up to leave. "If anyone finds out about this. Your old man will be the least of your concerns."
The older man walked out and climbed into the backseat of a car. Another man was there "Is it taken care of?"
The man nodded. "Yeah."
The man smiled. "Good. Are you sure we can trust this kid?"
The man shrugged. "As much as any junkie."
