Bruce and his family were coming home from Dan's game. They had run into one of their neighbors and his son. Bob Carver lived next door and his son Mike was just about Noah's age. Bob's wife had died several years before and since Bruce worked out of the house he tried to help out. He invited them to join the celebration. Bruce was collecting the coats. "That was a great game. Your free throws were really on the mark. They might have made the difference."
Dan walked over and hung up his coat. "The coach was making us do push ups when we miss. I hate push ups. So I made sure I didn't miss."
Noah came in behind Dan. "That was a great game. Your really good."
Dan smiled at Noah. He didn't think that he would like the idea of having an older brother, but Noah was cool. He was kind of quiet like he was and didn't ask too many questions. "I wish I could have seen your game. I bet your good too."
Noah shrugged. "I'm okay."
Dan looked at Noah. "It's suppose to be nice tomorrow. Maybe we can shoot some hoops out back."
Noah nodded. "Sounds good. I'm there."
Bob chimed in. "Maybe Mike would like to join in, then I could play."
Dan looked at his Dad. "Do you think that you can keep up with us."
Bruce looked at his son. "What's wrong. I can hang."
Dan shook his head. "Aw Dad."
Bruce shrugged. "What did I say?"
Liz came in. "Come on into the dining room I've got the pizza set up. Try the stuffed spinach Noah. It's the best."
Noah smile. "It all looks good to me."
Bruce watched Noah as he joined the other kids eating pizza and laughing. "He didn't know that he existed a month ago, but now he didn't know what he would do with out him. "Hey save some for the old folks."
Billy was grabbing his third piece. "You snooze you lose, Dad."
Bruce managed to grab a piece of pizza. "Noah, Mike is a sophomore at Triton College. He's studying Visual Arts. You mentioned that you and Luke wanted to go to the Art Institute. Maybe you and Mike could go."
Mike nodded. "Sure. They got some awesome stuff there."
Noah smiled. "Maybe after the basketball game."
Mike smiled back. "If your into architecture, Chicago has some of the best. We can walk around downtown and maybe grab some dinner."
Noah nodded. "I'm up for whatever. I don't have any plans. Unless you got something to do tomorrow Dad."
Bruce shook his head. "No you guys have fun."

Noah was lying in bed. He was still stuffed from the pizza and cake. He had so much fun. Kidding with his brothers and sister. He talked with his Dad about school and stuff he could do when he comes up in the spring. He had always envied Luke and his family and now he was part of one. He pulled out his phone. "Hi Luke."
Luke had just gotten ready for bed. "I was just thinking about you. How was the game?"
Noah smiled. "Great. Oak Park won. Dan is really a great athlete."
Luke smiled. "I guess it runs in the family. Your not so bad either. What are you doing?"
Noah ran his fingers through his hair. "I'm in bed. We came back here and had a small celebration and I'm stuffed. How about you?"
Luke climbed under the covers. "I'm just getting into bed myself." N
oah thought about Luke in bed. "Really. What are you wearing?"
Luke could hear the tone in Noah's voice. "What do you think I'm wearing?"
Noah's voice got low. "I hope your not wearing anything."
Luke had played this game before. "Your right. How about you?"
Noah slid his hand under the covers. "I'm wearing pajama bottoms, but you can take them off."
The two men continued their pillow talk and Noah was starting to get into it, when Billy came running into the room. "Noah do you want..."
Noah sat up. "Billy."
Billy backed out of the room. "Sorry."
