Billy went running up to Dan's room. "I was just in Noah's room and he was jerking off."

Dan threw his pillow at Billy. "Your the jerk off. Get out of my room."

Billy blocked the pillow. "I'm not a jerk off."

As the two brothers argued. Noah got out of bed and went into the hall. He ran into Bruce. "Bruce I'm so sorry. I was on the phone with Luke and Billy came in."

Bruce looked at Noah. "Did he do something?"

Noah was embarrassed. "No. But he might have seen something."

Bruce understood what Noah was getting at. He was young once. "Don't worry, I'll take care of it."

Bruce headed up to Dan's room. "Okay. Stop all the yelling."

Dan got out of bed. "Will you get this jerk out of my room."

Bruce looked at Dan. "Okay Dan that is unnecessary."

Billy stuck out his tongue. "Told you."

Bruce looked at Billy. "I think we need to have a talk about privacy."

Billy looked at his Dad. "What did I do?"

Dan went back to his bed. "Told you big mouth."

Billy looked at his big brother. "You probably do the same thing when your thinking about Cindy Nelson."

Dan was about to throw another pillow. "What would you know. Your never going to have a girlfriend or a boyfriend. Who would date a nerd like you?"

Billy started to go after his brother, when Bruce grabbed him. Okay that's enough. Let's go."

Bruce took Billy to his room and discussed proper behavior and all the other uncomfortable things that Dad's refuse to talk to their sons about.

Noah was sitting in the living room. Liz came up. "Is everything okay?"

Noah looked down at the floor. "I messed everything up."

Liz frowned. "I doubt that. What happened?"

Noah didn't want to talk about it. "I already talked to Dad about it. He's talking to Billy."

Liz nodded. "If Billy is involved. I wouldn't worry about it. He gets into all types of things. You know Noah, Bruce is so glad that you came this weekend and into his life. Don't worry that you are going to mess up our family. We try to be on our best behavior when you are around but we have lots of problems. We just try and work our way through them."

Noah looked at Liz. "I just wish..."

Noah stopped. Liz put her hand on his shoulder. "I know you wish that your parents could have been together."

Noah looked at the floor. "I'm sorry. It's just that things would have been so different for me."

Liz patted Noah on the leg. "There's no way of knowing that. Things happen for a reason. I didn't know your mother well, but she always had dreams of traveling the world. I think that is why she ended up with your fa... I mean Winston. She thought being an army wife she would see all these places, but she never left Kentucky. Bruce and I had some hard times. We came here because he had a friend that promised him a job. It was what he wanted to do, so he took it, but the theater folded. I ended up working and he just lucked out and ended up working for the paper. One thing lead to another and he started his writing career. If he and your Mom got together. There would have been a baby to worry about right away. He probably would have had to take a job to support the two of you. He wouldn't have been happy and neither would your mother because she would have been stuck in Kentucky." Liz paused. "Do you like our family, Noah?"

Noah nodded and smiled. "Yes I do."

Liz smiled. "Well, our family exists because of your mother's decision. Fate has brought you to us now and now you have the family that you want. Do I make sense."

Noah looked at Liz. She was very wise and always seemed to know what to say. She was what Noah always thought that a mother would be like. "Luke is aways telling me about fate."

Liz gave Noah a hug. "I knew there was something about him that I liked. You better get to bed. Dan is going to run you ragged on that basketball court. Maybe you can give Luke a call."

Noah got up and went to bed. "Yeah. I think I will. Good night Liz."

Liz got up and headed for the kitchen. "Good night Noah. Sleep well."
