Luke had just woke up. He ran his fingers through his hair and stretched. Noah was snuggled up behind him. His arm was draped over Luke. Luke took Noah's hand and pulled his arm tighter around him. He loved waking up next to Noah. Sometimes he would wake up in the middle of the night and just stare at him. He turned over to face Noah. He looked so peaceful. All that they had been through had just made their relationship stronger. Luke gently kissed Noah on the lips.

Noah stirred. He took a deep breath and opened one eye. "Good Morning."

Luke smile. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you." Secretly hoping he would.

Noah rubbed his eyes. "No problem. I've got to get up anyway. What time is it?"

Luke turned and looked at the clock. "It's still early. It's 8."

Noah stretched. "Oh, good I still have some time."

Luke pushed up on one elbow. "What do you have to do today?"

Noah put his arms behind his head. "I've got a special session of my Mass Comm class and I've got to get together with the study group I'm working with. I told you about it."

Luke fell back to his back. "Oh yeah I forgot. I don't have any classes today and I thought we could spend it together."

Noah put his arm around Luke. "I'd like nothing more than to spend a cold January day in bed with you, but unfortunately I can't."

Luke snuggled closer to Noah. "That's okay I've been meaning to go see Will and Gwen. They have been really bummed since that adoption fiasco."

Noah shook his head. "That was terrible. I can't imagine what they are going through. Having the rug pulled from under them like that. It's good they have a friend like you. I probably will be done by lunch if you want to meet at Al's."

Luke nodded. "That sounds good. I'm sure they won't want to talk for too long, but I have some other errands I have to run too."

Noah kissed Luke's forehead. "Well, I better go get a shower."

Luke pushed up on his elbow. "You need help with your back."

Noah smiled back at Luke. "I'd love that, but whenever you help me in the shower it ends up lasting an hour and I really need to get out of here."

Luke fell back on the bed, disappointed. "Okay." Then he shouted at Noah as he disappeared into the bathroom. "It's not like it's all my fault."

Luke arrived at Will and Gwen's. "Hi Guys. How are you doing?"

Gwen hugged Luke. "Bout as well as could be expected."

Will shook Luke's hand. "We have been hanging in there."

Luke walked in and sat on the sofa. "I just can't believe your mom was behind the whole thing. What was she thinking?"

Will shook his head. "She was thinking about herself as usual."

Luke put is hand on Gwen's leg. "Didn't she think that you guys would find out? How was she going to keep it a secret?"

Will walked around the sofa. "I guess she figured that if she threw enough money at it, that would keep everyone happy."

Gwen shook her head. "She doesn't know my mother. She would have kept coming back for money. She would never have been free of her."

Luke looked at Will. "So where is the baby now?"

Will shrugged. "I guess Sophie is going to keep it. She never wanted to give it up anyway. It was all Cole's idea."

Luke shrugged his shoulders. "It's kind of sad. What is she going to do now."

Gwen got up. "I don't know and I don't care."

Luke got up and followed her. "I'm sorry. I didn't want to upset you. I was hoping I could cheer you up. Even though I don't know what I can do or say."

Gwen turned and hugged Luke. "I'm sorry. Your being here helps. Just having your support."

Luke rubbed Gwen's back. "You have that. Everything will be alright."

Gwen walked over to Will. "I don't know about that. I just think I'm jinxed."

Will put his arm around Gwen. "Don't talk like that."

Gwen pulled away. "It's true."

Luke stepped up. "I know things seem bad now, but they will get better. I know I thought that I would be alone forever, but out of nowhere Noah came into my life and I'm happier than I have ever been. You and Will are young. Don't give up. Things can happen when you least expect it."

Gwen smiled. "I'm glad things are going well for you, but this is different."

Luke shook his head. "No, it isn't. You just have to believe. You and Will are good people and you have so much love to give a child. It will happen. I just know it."

Will walked up behind Gwen. "Thanks Luke. Your a great friend."

Luke's phone rang. "I'm sorry, it's Noah. I should take it."
