 Write to Van at: Van Hansis PO Box 515 Nyack, NY, 10960 USA vanhansis@officialatwtfanclub.com | Van Hansis was born on September 25, 1981 as Evan Vanfossen Hansis in North Adams, MA, moving to Greenfield MA when he was in the third grade. Has a BFA in Acting from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama. Van has been playing the character of Luke Snyder on "As the World Turns" since Dec. 14, 2005. Van was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 2007 and 2008 for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series for his role on "As the World Turns". In addition to "As the World Turns," from October 2007 through January 13, 2008, Van is appearing in the Off-Broadway production of Die Mommie Die. Van Hansis also starred in a student film The Time Machine, which can be seen on Youtube. Van can be now seen in new short film "The Ladykiller" playing Noah. To learn more, visit here. As many of you know, Van’s birthday is on September 25th, and fans will once again have the opportunity to celebrate the occasion with a very special tribute! So here is what you need to know, plus a little bit of background.
In September 2008, fans wanted to find a special way to celebrate Van’s birthday and to say thanks for all that he has given them. So, they decided to honor him by donating to the prestigious Walnut Hill School for the Arts, where Van attended high school. Tha campaign continued in 2009 and to date, fans have generously contributed over $15,000 to the Student Sponsorship Program at Walnut Hill. This year, fans can once again pay tribute to Van on his birthday by donating to Walnut Hill. The funds raised will continue to benefit the same student through the Student Sponsorship Program. Everyone is welcome to participate in this effort. You do not need to be a member of any particular fan site or message board to take part, and international fans can also contribute. It's easy to donate. Payments may be made online, by phone, by mail, or by wire transfer directly to Walnut Hill and are tax deductable. Just before Van’s birthday, Walnut Hill will send a letter to Van notifying him of the gifts, and included with the letter will be a list that shows the name of each participant and which city/state/country they are from. To keep track of the fundraising progress, updates will be posted periodically showing the number of donors and the total amount raised. Let’s all celebrate Van’s birthday by showing him lots of love, and by making a difference in someone’s life, the way Van has made a difference in ours! He posted this on facebook last night Van Hansis booked my first film today. not bad for a random tuesday. Van Hansis details?: horror.....im a lucky man he also said it's an independant film and more mindfukc than gore so anyone else as ridiculously excited as me? i cant wait to hear more about it :D
