L22
Holden reads in Luke's blog that he's got a secret he thinks could make his parents hate him. When Luke walks in on Holden reading his blog, he's furious. Holden tries to get Luke to talk. He tells Luke that no matter what Luke says or does, there is no way he and Lily could ever hate him.
L23
Luke and Holden continue to talk. Holden asks if Luke and Kevin talk about their feelings with each other...and Luke challenges Holden to just say what he's really thinking. Holden says he wants to hear Luke say whatever is on his mind, and the two once again change subjects. At lunch, Holden tells Lily he feels like he made progress with Luke, but Luke's still holding back. Meanwhile, Luke meets Kevin at a party.
L24
Holden tells Lily that he feels like he's failed as a father, and has failed at showing Luke how to be a man. Meanwhile, Kevin tries to convince Luke to call his parents and lie about where he is in order to extend his time at the party. When Luke refuses and asks Kevin to go hang out elsewhere, Kevin says no and leaves Luke alone.
L25
Lily decides she's not going to be able to convince Holden that he's succeeded as a father to Luke...she thinks it's time for him and Luke to talk. Luke asks Kevin if he ever gets tired of lying to his parents. Luke says he feels like dirt because he's been lying, and that it's going to end tonight. Racing home to beat his parents, Luke drops his cell phone and accidentally hits someone.
L26
Luke checks on the young woman he hit, and discovers that she's alive. He swears to God that if she survives, he'll come clean with his parents. When she stops breathing, he freaks out, but his parents come across the scene and get help. Holden doesn't believe Luke wasn't drinking until Luke passes a breathalyzer test. Holden nearly gets Luke to open up twice but Luke is interrupted both times. The young woman asks to see the Snyders...and seems to recognize one of them.
L27
The young woman wakes up and introduces herself as Jade Taylor. She says the Snyders can't call her parents, but asks them for a ride back to where she was hit. She finds her bag, and when the Snyders question why she was hanging out outside their home in the dark, she admits that the reason she's acting like she recognizes Lily is that looking at Lily is like looking at her mother's face.
L28
Jade tells the Snyders that her birth mother was Rose D'Angelo...Lily's late twin sister, and Luke's beloved aunt, and shows birth records in an effort to prove it. Lily is skeptical, but Luke believes Jade. Lily offers Jade a place to stay for the night, and Holden suggests that they'll look into Jade's story the next day.
