" The two of them seem so comfortable with each other, and one little story they told on themselves-about the GLAAD awards, cracked me up. They were backstage, and they got into a stupid argument about fizzy water, and their handler? had to step in and ask, "Do you guys need a moment?" since they were bickering like some old, married couple.I remember hearing or reading that somewhere as well, and it just made my adoration for these guys grow 10 fold. I actually laughed out loud when i read it. What i would pay to be at a dinner party with those two lol I can definitely see Luke and Noah bickering like that, and it would fantastic to have that sort of interaction between them eventually. And thanks to them, we have a little of that between Luke and Noah now. I loved the thread where everyone's favorite small moments were discussed. Luke's fiddling with Noah's clothes, the hand holding and hugging-they express a real warmth that other soap couples don't have. We are very lucky in that respect. And playful crabbing would add another dimension, since people who love and trust each other aren't afraid to argue once in awhile. Do you find this valuable? |

This is a very enjoyable story, one of the best fan fics I've read. It's got a wealth of detail and you really feel they are on the trip. The first person for Noah works beautifully. The fact that their different personality traits propels the action is awesome. Absolutely top quality!!!

Rebop, I have not had a chance to read your Fan Fiction yet. I have been so busy with the cares of work and home that when I go to the wiki I usually drift over to the people I know. Anyhow, I was feeling the pressure to read everyone's material for the FanFic contest and was set on voting for Mungo's little Casper the "very friendly" Ghost story but then I read yours. Being a man who has grown up in the south with every form of bubba as a neighbor, I found this story of yours a kin to comin' home for a Sunday afternoon lunch at grandma's house. The way you put so much homespun americana detail into everything made me feel happier than eating a bowl of watery grits swimming in salted butter! If Mark Twain had written about two gay boys rafting down the mighty Mississippi then he could not have done a better job. Thanks for writing such a great story. You have my Vote! I am on the damn floor, stunned by your flattery. Blushing, blushing, blushing! It especially means a lot to me that I got stuff right, since I have never set a toe past Mason/Dixon and nary a grit has passed this Yankee's lips. You have made my year. Thank you so much! :D Do you find this valuable? |

Yes, I have grown up in the south. Mostly up in North Georgia in the city of Athens where we have MANY of the "Gone with the Wind" style homes. In fact, Dr. Talmadge, the cousine of Margaret Mitchell who wrote Gone with the Wind built an exact replica of Tara in the town. But where I live now is a redneck town in Florida. It's so redneck in fact that the slutty daughter of Lionel Ritchie and that whore from the Hilton came to MY town to film an episode of their stupid show a few years back! How Embarrassing! But anyhow, y'all are always welcome to come and visit for a spell. Do you find this valuable? |

"Glad to make your Year little darlin'.You poor dear...I can't imagine the horror of having Paris and Nicole so uncomfortably close. I think you would rather have an invasion of locusts... Anyway, thanks again for the wonderful compliments, and hearing your lovely Georgia drawl in my head gets me swoony... :) Wish we could sit on the porch and swap stories... OMG! Rebop...I had to write this.. in the middle of reading "Scenic Route"... I was dying laughing for a good 5 or so minutes with the first two roadstops for Nuke. Thank you for making me laugh so hard and long. You are SO talented. Your character details and ability to make a scene come to life... Very impressive! Now.. back to reading the rest... :-) Do you find this valuable? |

I've been a lurker since I joined the wiki, but I had to comment on this story. What a treat! Not only is it beautifully written, it had some absolutely steamy sex, combined with scenes that literally had me laughing out loud. I'm from the South (Arkansas) and believe me, traveling back roads can produce some interesting times, and you captured both the details of that and the interaction of our two boys with humor and love. I only have one complaint: this shouldn't be a stand-alone; it simply screams to be a multi-parter. Now, I know you're going to be working on the "Drowning" sequel, and hopefully many more stories, but perhaps you'd consider adding to this on-the-road adventure occasionally? Pleeeeeease???? "I've been a lurker since I joined the wiki, but I had to comment on this story.I am doubly flattered that I got a lurker out of the woodwork-hello! And thank you for all the wonderful comments. I feel a sense of relief that two southerners felt that I got the details right. And yeah. I just can't leave them traveling to god knows where without SOME supervision. It was too much damn fun to write, and I already have two chapters in my head...New Orleans for sure...Right now, the Drowning sequel is taking up all my attention, but I have to got back to this, as I was snickering the whole time I wrote it. I mean, you might as well amuse yourself. (I have very boring lunch hours otherwise.) Thanks again for taking the time to read it and review it. It honestly makes my day. Do you find this valuable? |

I loved this! There were so many great moments in this story...funny happenings, hot sex, and just the boys being happy. I also thought the visit to the garden was especially sweet.

This was pure awesomeness, one of the best Luke/Noah stories I've ever read for sure. Your writing is so lively and flowing and has so much detail that the story is wonderfully real and close to the viewer. There were so many hilarious parts - I loved that you wrote from Noah's POV because the many ways he describes Luke and their bickering with each other are too funny and cute. And they were both very much in character. It was funny, rich, vivid, and had some major hotness on top of all that. =) Thanks for giving us a great fic.
